| BACK GROUND of ERIC TURRO Buena Vista TM. is an authentic Cuban Dance & Entertainment Company providing professional Cuban dance tuition as well as performances i.e.: floor shows and cabaret style shows & Latin DJ ENT. Founded in 2005 by Eric & Chantal Turro Martinez, Buena Vista TM is known for quality, authenticity, class and professionalism. The unique style of Buena Vista is made possible by front man Eric Turro, Havana Cuba, Artistic Director, Choreographer & Host. Eric is renowned for his international work in the following shows; Showman & Host in Cuba's largest Salsatecas in the 80's & 90's i.e. : Cafe Cantante, Mi Habana National Theatre, Cecilia, Palacio de la Salsa, Salon Rosado La Tropical, Arco de Crystal Tropicana & Dos Gardenias. Director & Choreographer for his dance CO. Sabor Caribbeno, also the creator for the Comparsa La Mazucamba 1995 and Director of the Anfiteatro, Guanabacoa 1999 -2003. Eric's dance was brought to fame whilst performing in Cafe Taberna, Benny More & later 2001 -2005 with Buena Vista Social Club in Hotel Nacional & Hotel Capri Havana. From 2004 Eric has been touring the world with the hit stage shows; - The Bar at Buena Vista - Hemmingway's Havana - Havana Rumba. Chantal Turro has been teaching ladies styling and street salsa in Australia for the past 10 years and teaching overseas with Eric since 2007. Dancing and performing from a young child, Chantal's knowledge stems from many dance styles including street Latin, flamenco , tango, jazz, tap , hip hop, west African & middle eastern. Whilst trained in many styles, Chantal credits her style more recently to the Traditional Cuban dance style of Eric. Recent performances from this couple include performances with some of Cuba's finest musicians including LOS VAN VAN on their 2010 Australian tour in August, Vocal Sampling Orchestra Buena Vista, & Juan de Marcos & Afro Cuban All-stars. |
